Start your first shoot
01 What a shoot is
A shoot is one property. Every photo you take at that address lives inside it. You make a new shoot each time you visit a new property.
02 Create it
- Tap New shoot.
- Start typing the property address. The app offers a few matching addresses — tap the right one.
- Add a suburb if you want to. This is optional.
- Tap Start shoot.
Both boxes can be left empty. If you do not enter an address, the shoot is simply called “New shoot”.
03 You are not asked for a room list
There is no list of rooms to fill in and no plan to make first. Walk the property and photograph whatever you want, in whatever order suits you.
04 Three things to check at the property
The app shows you this list once each shoot, and it is worth doing every time:
- Wipe the lens. A thumbprint costs you more than any editing tool can fix.
- Open the blinds.
- Switch on every light in the house.
Then tap Start shooting.
05 The first time only
On your very first shoot the app walks you through the camera screen in six short steps. After that it stays out of your way. Next: How to capture a room.
