How agency credits are spent

01 The short answer

One credit finishes one photo, or runs one editing tool, exactly as on any account — see What is a credit?.

On an agency account there can be two piles of credits: yours and the agency’s pool. We always spend whatever is closest to expiring first, so nothing is wasted.

02 The order, in full

  1. Anything that is about to expire — your own monthly allowance before the agency’s.
  2. Credits you bought outright, which never expire while your account is open.
  3. The agency’s pool, whatever is left in it.

Expiring credits go first because they have a deadline and bought credits do not. Spending the bought ones first would let a rented credit die unused — two credits gone for one photo.

In the ordinary case — an agency with its monthly allowance, and you holding a pack you bought — the pool is spent first, and your own credits only start moving once the agency’s allowance for the month is gone.

03 What expires and what does not

  • The agency’s monthly allowance expires when it refills. Whatever is left over at the start of the new month is gone. It does not roll over and it is not refunded.
  • Top-up packs never expire while the account is open, whether the agency bought them or you did.

Only the head seat can top up the pool. See Buy more credits.

04 Refunds and failures

  • If a photo or an edit fails, the credit goes straight back to whichever balance paid for it — yours if it was yours, the pool’s if it was the pool’s. That stays true even after you have left the agency.
  • A tool that refuses to run does not charge you at all.
  • Photos you paid for yourself are not billed to the agency and do not show up in what the head seat sees you spend.

05 The balance you see

The balance shown in the app is everything you can spend — your own credits plus the agency’s pool. If it drops while you are sitting still, that is a colleague shooting, not a fault.
